Visual Journaling with Gel Printing, Mixed Media, and Collage
Pittsburgh Center for the Arts
6300 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15232 (Fifth and Shady Ave.)
Visual journaling expresses your life experiences, observations, and insights primarily through imagery rather than words. Each week, techniques and visual approaches will be demonstrated and discussed. We will begin by creating backgrounds using gel plate monoprinting and water-based media. Then you will gather and collage imagery to tell your unique story. Applying approaches to composition and page design will bring disparate elements into a unified whole. The result will be layered pages that transform the fragments of your life and history into an integrated and unique visual journal. All experience levels welcome. Please register through pfpca.org. The course will be listed soon.
